Therapy built around what you are living through, not a checklist of conditions.
WHERE WE START
At Rise & Rally, therapy is collaborative, evidence-based, and paced to the person in the room. You do not need to arrive with the right language or a tidy explanation. We start where you are, and we build the work from there.
Below are the areas we focus on most. Many people arrive with more than one of these tangled together, and that is welcome here.
Trauma and post-traumatic stress
People living with the aftermath of something that overwhelmed them, whether it happened once or over many years. Trauma does not always look like flashbacks. Sometimes it looks like numbness, trouble sleeping, staying on guard, or a sense that you are never quite safe.
We move at a pace your nervous system can tolerate, using structured, evidence-based methods to help you process what happened so it loosens its grip on the present.
The memory becomes something you carry rather than something that controls you. You sleep. You feel present in your own life again.
Grief, loss, and anticipatory grief
People grieving a death, and also people grieving someone who is still alive: a parent slipping into dementia, a relationship that has changed, a future that will not happen. Anticipatory grief is real grief, and it rarely gets the room it deserves.
A space to feel what you feel without being rushed toward closure. We help you hold love and loss at the same time, and find a way to keep living alongside it.
The grief no longer has to be hidden or explained. You find steadier ground without being told to move on.
Caregiver stress, role reversal, and burnout
The adult child managing a parent's care. The person everyone else leans on. If you are running on empty, quietly resentful, and then guilty for feeling resentful, this is for you.
We name the load honestly, including the parts that are hard to say out loud. We work on boundaries, on the grief tangled up in caregiving, and on keeping some of your own life intact.
You stop disappearing into the role. You set things down without it meaning you care less.
Life transitions and midlife change
People standing in the gap between the life they built and the one ahead. Divorce, an empty house, a career that no longer fits, a quiet question about what the rest of this is for.
We make sense of the transition rather than just surviving it. We look at what you are leaving, what you actually want, and what gets in the way.
The uncertainty becomes something you move through with intention instead of dread.
Anxiety and depression
People weighed down by worry that will not quiet, or a flatness that has drained the color out of things. Sometimes both at once.
We work with both the patterns of thought and the weight carried in the body, using approaches matched to what is actually happening for you.
More room to breathe. Days that feel like yours again.
LGBTQ+ affirming therapy
Anyone who wants care where their identity and relationships are understood, not explained or defended. We work with clients across the LGBTQ+ community, and as an affirming practice this is woven through everything we do.
Therapy where you are not the teacher. You bring what you are working on. We bring care that starts from respect.
Being fully yourself in the room, from the first conversation.
